
Disney/Pixar’s Inside out 2 has scored for itself the second highest domestic opening for any animated movie ever with an outstanding 155 million in its coffers. Outshined only by Pixar’s Incredibles 2 which boasted an opening of 182.6 million, Inside Out 2 is taking over the Box Office. With an overall opening of 295 million worldwide, it has already dwarfed the Kaiju sized record set by Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire of 194 million and Dune: Part Two.
The projections go as far as a beyond 500 million collection for the movie. There are a number of factors serving as catalysts for the success of Inside Out 2. The first movie came out in 2015, which focused on capturing the child-like wonder and the way the emotions of a child function. It clearly struck a chord with the target audience. Now, nine years later the movie returns, picking up the already established audience right where they might be now, with the introduction of new emotions like anxiety, envy, embarrassment the movie clearly resonates with the audience of the time.

Along with that, the fact they included characters from Hispanic and Latino backgrounds, the film has now gained a solid footing in the inclusivity section. Of course being backed by Disney, the movie saw an insane marketing campaign, with that, Inside Out 2 continues to rule the box office.
