James Gunn and Peter Safran, as the lead figures of the franchise rebuilding itself from scratch, addressed a plethora of rumors flooding the market. Now, with the cast almost solidified for its first significant venture, “Superman Legacy,” Gunn shares an exciting update.

While talking with fans on threads, Gunn stated, “99.9%” done, adding, “I’m always changing small things, but it’s been essentially done since well before the strike.”

The wave of excitement didn’t end here, as Gunn also shared one more update regarding the Batman and Robin film, addressing fans’ curiosity about the cast: “There’s no script yet. Of course, it’s false.”

“Superman Legacy,” starring David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, is set to release on July 11, 2025.
