The pic is based on the true story of Irish writer-actor Eoin O’Brien and his experiences with Tahilramani, Patrick Bergin is starring alongside O’ Brien. The film also stars Ravi Patel who was previously seen in Wonder Woman 1984, the movie turned him into a notorious hollywood scammer in this psychological thriller.
The story is based on a struggling actor who got a huge deal from a Hollywood producer, and while he was sent to Jakarta to shoot he encounters a sadistic scammer, terrorising the industry, impersonating Hollywood elites.
O’Brien said, “The film is a statement for the survivors of this scam, for those who refused to let this sociopath victimise us. He is not going to stop us chasing our dreams”.
He also added , “Four years later, to the day, I was back in Indonesia making a movie about my experience. I had turned the nightmare into a dream come true.”
Tahilramani is accused of conning more than 300 victims, including actors and screenwriters out of more than one million dollars during a multi-year scheme.
The Hollywood Con Queen story was recently featured in an AppleTV+ docuseries released earlier this month.
