Peaky Blinders Star Booked For Cocaine!

Paul Anderson

Paul Anderson, the famous actor who is notoriously known for his role as Arthur Shelby in the hit BBC series Peaky Blinders, has been fined £1,345 around Rs. 1,21,247 for drug possession with various narcotic substances including crack cocaine. At Highbury Corner Magistrates Court in London, he pleaded guilty to the charges on Thursday, January 25, 2024.

On Boxing Day, December 26, 2023, Anderson, 48, was arrested with the substances at a pub near his home in north-west London, and police were called to the scene. The pub manager had remarked on the smell of crack cocaine from the disabled toilet after Anderson had vacated it.

The Actor’s attorney argued that Anderson was not smoking crack cocaine but fans gave him the drugs by recognising him as Arthur Shelby, a violent and drug-addicted older brother of Thomas Shelby, a gang leader. He indicated that Anderson usually attempted to please his fans by descending into the act, which he should have been strong enough to refuse.

The popularity of Anderon’s performance as Arthur Shelby is confirmed by critical acclaim and his followers among the admirers of Peaky Blinders – a crime drama in post-World War I Birmingham. The series that was created by Steven Knight concluded in April 2022 but will soon be resurrected with a film.
