When the film 300 was released in 2006, it became a huge hit at the box office and collected more than $450 million worldwide at a budget of only $65 million. Warner Bros. Television are working on a possible prequel of the 2006 hit in the form of a series. The chances of a TV adaptation of 300 are speculated with the return of the famous director.
It is reported that Zack Snyder, the co-writer and director of the original 300, is in the scheme for directing and executive production of the series. Warner Bros. is negotiating deals with the director along with Deborah Snyder for executive producer.
There’s no plotline fixed for the series yet and no writers have been roped in for the project. Zack’s Stone Quarry production is likely to work with Warner Bros. on the project.
300 the movie was based on a graphic novel by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley of the same name. The project if proceeded would be an exciting addition to TV adaptations of superhit movies.
