It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that whatever Taylor Swift touches this year turns to gold. The singer and songwriter finished the US leg of one of the most successful music tours in history and is ready to release her Eras Tour Concert Film next month. But the news only gets better for her fans as Taylor smashed records at the MTV VMAs 2023. She won a total of 9 awards in a single night which is the second highest ever, only behind Peter Gabriel’s 10 awards way back in 1987.
Taylor’s song “Anti-Hero” won the awards of Video of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects. Taylor also won the Album Of The Year award for her album “Midnights”. In addition to this she won the Artist Of The Year and Show Of The Summer award. Her total tally of awards at the VMAs reached 23 and she’s only behind Beyonce now who has 30.
Taylor also became the first artist to have won the Video of the Year two times in a row. In 2022, she won the same award for “All Too Well: The Short Film”. Her concert film is going to hit the theaters across North America on 13th of October and it has already become the second highest grosser in pre sales only after Avengers: Endgame.
