The Writers Guild Of America (WGA) has finally come to a tentative agreement with the studios and the Hollywood writer’s strike is nearing its end. The Hollywood industry that has stagnated for a few months is optimistic about new projects getting underway straightaway. Among the projects in talk is a reboot of ‘The Office US’. Greg Daniels, the creator of the show is reportedly planning to present to us a reprised version of the original show.
In an article published in Puck News, the writers speculated what the future of industry looks like in the near future. They wrote, “Greg Daniels is set to do a reboot of The Office, for instance.” The Office was a very successful sitcom that aired from 2005 to 2013 for a total of 9 seasons.
Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson were the lead cast in the show. Greg has discussed the idea of revamping the show before as well when he talked about an updated form of the show in 2022. The news about the reboot of the show has started speculations about the format and cast. The project is expected to move further once the members of the union vote and end the strike officially.
