20th Century Studios dropped the trailer for Alien: Romulus. Bringing back the old notion of this franchise.
This standalone project is from Fede Álvarez, known for films like Evil Dead and Don’t Breathe.
The species Xenomorph, stands out as the main villain of the movie, the trailer opens with Cailee Spaeny’s character waking up from sleep, and as she approaches the nearest space station Xenomorph is being ready to hunt down its first victim.
According to the sources this movie will focus on young space colonisers, who are delving deep into the reasons behind the abandoned space stations and as they do that they will face a most dangerous form of life.
The movie takes place between 1979’s Alien and 1986’s Aliens.
The trailer was released just a day after the makers shared a poster for the sci-fi film, prominently featuring the face-hugger.
While Cailee Spaeny plays the lead role of Rain Carradine, the other cast members are Isabela Merced as Kay, David Johnson as Andy, Archie Renaux as Tyler, Aileen Wu as Navarro, and Spike Fearn as Bjorn.
The film will hit theatres on August 16, 2024.
