Calling all fans! A major update for Transformers straight from CinemaCon is here. The much-awaited prequel, Transformers ONE, had its trailer previewed exclusively for the audience at CinemaCon. The trailer showcases a young Optimus Prime and a young Megatron in the early days of Cybertron before it became a war-torn hellscape.
Optimus’ early days will be explored along with his relation with other fan-favorite Autobots like Elita One and Bumblebee. The movie might even allude back to the Generation One lore and the backstory of Prime gaining the Matrix of Leadership and ascending from being Orion Pax to Optimus Prime. The film is being praised for its beautiful animations. Although it is too early to say anything, we might just have a contender for the Oscars in this category.
The trailer will be publicly released on 18th April. After the action-packed era of Michael Bay movies, the franchise got a soft reboot with BUMBLEBEE, which was a breath of fresh air. Following this, the Maximals made their live-action debut in Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts. While BUMBLEBEE became a fan favorite, ROTB couldn’t garner the same love.
However, the last movie gave fans hopes for a G.I. JOE crossover which is under production. Any details of which are yet to be shared. Meanwhile, the marketing of TF ONE is approaching light speed with the release of the trailer and the Toys, which will obviously reel in a new generation of the audience.
