Warner Bros are thinking about making a Barbie 2. Yes! You have read it correctly.
Barbie was one of the most loved movies of 2023, with the direction of Greta Gerwig, this movie reached its peak of success.
Now considering the love and hype Barbie got Warner Bros are thinking of a spin off. In this matter Greta said that she is open to new ideas.
Abdy, the co-chair and CEO of Warner Bros Motion Picture Group, said the film had “smashed so many records”.
Since last year rumours about Barbie 2 have been on and off the table, but later it was disclosed that Barbie 2 won’t be happening anytime soon.
But, now Warner Bros are thinking about making the 2nd movie without Greta in it.
Now Greta is known for her portrayal of women in movies. If we take Little Women as an example then we’ll see how beautifully she portrayed the complexities of the character.
And we all have to agree on one thing that every director has some or the other pros and cons.
Greta effortlessly can make complex female character but portray them so relatable which makes the audience more connected with the movie.
And, Barbie is a movie, which is based on women, so if they choose to make it without Greta, that’s a matter of discussion.
