While other stars like Prabhas (Kalki 2898 AD), NTR (Devara), and Allu Arjun (Pushpa 2) had major films, Mahesh Babu delivered a regular and outdated masala entertainer Guntur Kaaram.
What made this even more disappointing was that the prestigious combination of Trivikram Srinivas and Mahesh Babu was wasted on a film like this. Commercial success aside, it is the type of film that will never generate goodwill for the hero.

While other star heroes are experimenting with unique backdrops, massive budgets, and innovative settings, Mahesh chose to make a film like Guntur Kaaram, which turned out to be outdated and cringeworthy.
Fortunately, this didn’t seem to affect him much, likely due to the anticipation surrounding his upcoming project with Rajamouli.
