Prabhas and Prashanth Neel’s Salaar is releasing in just 10 days from now and the stakes couldn’t have been higher on this one. The promotional campaign for this film has been non-existent but it is sure to get off to a thunderous start in the mass belts.
Coming to the point, Salaar has cleared the censor formalities today and it has been given ‘A’ certification, meaning it is suitable for adults and not for kids.
This A certification is ringing back a good memory for Prabhas’s fans. They are pointing out that the last A-rated film of Prabhas was Mirchi which released in 2013 and was a blockbuster then. And now a decade later Prabhas is having another ‘A’ rated release and it is Salaar which is releasing on 22 December.
Their sentiment is that Prabhas last delivered a hit with Mirchi, an A-rated film, and the films after that – Saaho, Radhe Shyam, and Adipurush all had U/A certificate and all of them bombed at the box office. They are hoping that the ‘A’ sentiment will help them this time around.
Another observation is that Neel’s previous two films – KGF 1 & 2 both had U/A certificates despite the extensive usage of violence. But in the case of Salaar, it a strict ‘A’ certificate, meaning the violence will be at an all-time high from Neel this time. This is also leaving fans excited as they wanted to see Prabhas in a mass hero role for a while now.
