Visakhapatnam has got a major new entertainment destination with the grand opening of AAA Cinemas at Inorbit Mall, Kailasapuram. Allu Arjun himself inaugurated the multiplex today, August 9, marking the first expansion of the AAA Cinemas brand beyond Hyderabad.
AAA Cinemas is a joint venture between Asian Cinemas and Allu Arjun. The Hyderabad multiplex has already become popular among moviegoers, and the Visakhapatnam property takes the brand into Andhra Pradesh for the first time.
The multiplex has 8 screens with a total seating capacity of around 1,556. It also features premium 4K laser projection and Dolby Atmos sound.
The biggest attraction is the main screen, which has 491 seats. Another major highlight is the 70-foot-long and 30-foot-wide LED screen, which is being promoted as the biggest cinema LED screen in Andhra Pradesh.
The multiplex also has an Icon Star Lounge for premium and recliner ticket holders, with a separate entry. There is also an 82 Lounge designed for private screenings, film functions, and pre-release events, along with a dedicated screen and Dolby sound system.
Adding to the fan appeal, the property also features a statue of Allu Arjun in his iconic Thaggede Le style.
Ticket prices have been set at Rs. 177 for regular seats and Rs. 295 for recliner seats, although prices can vary depending on the film and show timing. Ticket bookings are currently available through the District by Zomato app.
The screens have different capacities, ranging from 34 seats to 491 seats. With 8 screens under one roof, AAA Cinemas becomes one of the biggest multiplexes in Andhra Pradesh in terms of screen count.
Speaking at the launch, Allu Arjun also shared an update on Raaka. He said the film is currently being shot in Mumbai and that he had taken a one-day break from the shoot specifically to attend the AAA Cinemas inauguration. He will return to the sets tomorrow.
Allu Arjun also spoke about how much Visakhapatnam has changed over the years, recalling his visits to the city during the shooting of Gangotri. He said he never imagined that a mall like Inorbit would come to Visakhapatnam and expressed happiness over the city’s growth.
Allu Aravind, who also attended the event, thanked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, the state’s Home Minister, and Cinematography Minister for their support in bringing the project to Visakhapatnam.
The Inorbit Mall itself has been developed by the K Raheja Corp Group across 17 acres, with around 6 lakh square feet of space and an investment of approximately Rs. 600 crores.
AAA Cinemas is now expected to expand further in Andhra Pradesh, with cities such as Vijayawada and Tirupati also emerging as potential destinations.
For Visakhapatnam, however, the launch of AAA Cinemas marks a major upgrade to the city’s movie-going experience. With 8 screens, premium technology, large-format viewing, and Allu Arjun’s brand attached to it, the multiplex is aiming to become one of the city’s biggest cinema destinations.
