Venkatesh and Trivikram’s Aadarsha Kutumbam AK47 has been postponed once again. The film was announced for an October 2 release on Gandhi Jayanthi, but the makers are now reportedly looking at a new date. October 9 is said to be the most likely new release date, while October 16 is also being considered.
The makers are now reportedly looking at the Dasara season. The festival holidays could give Aadarsha Kutumbam a strong advantage, especially if it becomes the only major Telugu release during the season.
Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara is facing an indefinite delay, with no clear release plan for 2026. Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is also not certain to arrive during the Dasara season and could be pushed to Diwali.
This makes the Dasara window attractive for Aadarsha Kutumbam. A relatively open market could give the film more screens and better attention.
However, there is an interesting question about moving away from October 2.
Gandhi Jayanthi is itself a national holiday and offers a strong opening-day advantage. If Aadarsha Kutumbam has good content and positive word of mouth, the film can easily continue for three or four weeks and still benefit from the Dasara season later.
So, why give up the October 2 advantage to chase the Dasara advantage?
One possibility is that the makers may have some doubts about the film’s content. The recent video glimpses introducing Venkatesh, Srinidhi Shetty, and the actors playing their children failed to create strong buzz. This has raised some doubts among fans about the film.
Could the makers be worried that if Aadarsha Kutumbam releases on October 2, it may not have enough content to sustain the audience interest until the Dasara holidays? If so, releasing closer to Dasara could give the film a better chance to take full advantage of the festive season.
For now, the October 2 date has been sacrificed for a Dasara release, and fans are waiting for the makers to officially announce the new date.
