Andhra Pradesh may have lost every thing to Telangana in the state bifurcation. However AP is left with the major share of temples. AP retained its famous pilgrimage of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Tirumala, the Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Srisailam and Sri Kalahasthi temple in Chittoor.

Telangana was left behind in the race of Religious Tourism. And now to take the state forward in the race, KCR is planning to build his state’s own Tirumala in shape of Yadagirigutta. KCR’s government is taking full care of the Temple development plans.
Suddenly the visitor stream to the temple increased and the temple revenues are also picking up. Tirumala is situated on seven hills while Yadagirigutta is on a single hillock. The Telangana government wants to include eight other hillocks that dot the countryside near Yadagirigutta and included them as a part of the temple development plans. So now, if Tirumala has seven hills, Yadagirigutta shall have nine. So a bigger pilgrimage than Tirupati.
