Prabhas’ highly-anticipated Adipurush’s advance booking has started on a solid note, though nothing extraordinary, in its Hindi version. The response has been impressive, with the two leading cinema chains, PVR and Inox, selling approximately 12,000 tickets for the weekend.
60% of these tickets were sold for the first day of screening. It is worth mentioning that the majority of screenings so far have been for the 3D version of the film.
The latest update suggests that Adipurush (Hindi) has sold approximately around 8000 tickets in the three national chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis – for the opening day alone. PVR and Inox lead with 3000 each, followed by Cinepolis at around 2000.
The bookings haven’t been opened in Telugu states as the team is waiting for the price hike clearance! The bookings have just opened in Karnataka, and the response has been decent.
Pathaan has sold the highest number of tickets in advance sales this year, approximately around six lakhs, by beating KGF’s 5.5 Lakh tickets. RRR had crossed the 1.05 Lakh mark and got an opening of around 19 crores in the Hindi version.
We have to wait and see how far Adipurush will go in terms of advance bookings and whether will it beat RRR’s advance sales numbers.
