Adipurush is all set to release this week on June 16th. The advance bookings have opened to a heartening response in all the areas where it commenced yesterday.
As of 9 PM on Sunday, Adipurush has sold over 20,000 tickets in three major national cinema chains: PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. The film should have sold approximately 25,000 tickets by Sunday midnight.

It is unclear whether the additional bookings are a result of celebrity purchases, specifically for Hanuman seats, or if they are regular bookings made by the general audience. Nevertheless, the film is doing well in terms of pre-sales.
In Karnataka also, especially in Bangalore, the film has opened to a solid response. The demand for 3D shows is better when compared to 2D shows.

But the most surprising thing is that the film hasn’t opened bookings yet in the Telugu states. Prabhas is a pan-India star, but foremost he is a Telugu star, and the major chunk of his diehard fans hail from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Telugu fans have been checking the BookMyShow, Paytm, and other apps every few minutes to check whether the bookings have opened. But till 11 PM IST, the bookings of Adipurush in Telugu states have not been opened.

The reports suggest that the makers are waiting for price hike clearance from the AP and Telangana governments. We all know the YS Jagan government keeps the Telugu filmmakers waiting till the last minute before giving any kind of approval, but it is surprising to see even the Telangana state government is taking so much time to give price hike approval. Usually, they immediately give clearance for such big-budget projects.
Once the bookings are opened, the first-day tickets are pretty much expected to be sold out like hotcakes in Telugu states.
