Disaster once but remake again in works

Gharshana, not the one starring Venkatesh but the old dubbed version of Mani Ratnam’s film was a hugely successful film in Tamil and Telugu. Given its massive success it was expectedly remade in Bollywood as well.

However the Hindi remake, Vansh was a disaster on all accounts from casting to the making. It is therefore completely erased from the minds of people. No one remembers a film ever getting remade. Now after years another remake of the same film is planned Bollywood.

Bejoy Nambiar, a protégé of Mani Ratnam who made debut with Shaitan will be remaking the classic. Main cast of the film is in place and it will be on sets soon.
