Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently busy shooting for Gopichand Malineni’s stylish action entertainer. Once that film is completed, he is expected to move on to his much-awaited project with Koratala Siva.
According to industry reports, Aishwarya Rajesh has been approached for a crucial role in the film. However, she is reportedly not playing the female lead. Instead, the talented actress is said to be taking on a character with negative shades.
If the reports turn out to be true, it will mark a big shift from Aishwarya Rajesh’s on-screen image.
Over the years, she has earned a reputation for playing grounded, emotionally driven, and lovable characters. Whether in Tamil or Telugu cinema, audiences have mostly seen her in simple, realistic roles that highlight her acting skills rather than glamour.
In Telugu, she won hearts with her performance as Venkatesh’s wife in Sankranthiki Vastunnam, which became her biggest hit. Many expected the film to open the doors to more heroine roles opposite leading stars. However, apart from a few small films like Oh Sukumari and some web series, those big commercial offers never really came her way.
That could be why a role like this makes perfect sense at this stage of her career. Instead of waiting for conventional heroine roles, Aishwarya Rajesh may be exploring challenging, performance-driven characters that allow her to showcase a different side of her talent. Playing a negative role in a big-ticket Balakrishna-Koratala Siva film would certainly fit that approach.
There is little doubt about Aishwarya Rajesh’s acting ability. The bigger question is whether she can convincingly pull off a powerful negative role opposite a towering screen presence like Balakrishna. Sharing screen space with a mass star such as Balakrishna is a challenge in itself.
Of course, all of this remains speculation for now, as the makers have yet to officially confirm the casting.
The big-budget entertainer will be produced by Yuvasudha Arts in association with Sudhakar Cherukuri’s SLV Cinemas.
