On the evening of the planned premieres, theatres in Hyderabad still did not have permission to open bookings. By the time the Telangana G.O. finally arrived around 5 PM, a financial dispute had already started between key parties, and bookings never opened. That breakdown forced the postponement.
Now, the same risk has returned. If premieres begin tomorrow night, theatres must open bookings today itself. That can only happen if the Telangana government issues the G.O. in the next few hours. AP is already far ahead, and any delay from Telangana could once again damage the film’s momentum and reduce Akhanda-2’s box office potential from the premiere shows.
