During one of the recent promotional interviews for Lenin, Akhil was asked whether he had watched Samantha’s Maa Inti Bangaaram. His response quickly caught attention.
Akhil said he had not watched the full film yet because he was busy with Lenin promotions. However, he made it clear that he was impressed by what he had seen so far. He said he really liked the trailer and the overall vibe of the film and described it as fantastic. He also called the decision to title the film Maa Inti Bangaaram while presenting Samantha in a strong action-packed role a very interesting creative choice. More importantly, Akhil specifically praised Samantha’s performance in the action-heavy role and called it a commendable effort.
After more than six films without a genuine big hit, Lenin has become a crucial test for Akhil’s future as a commercial hero. That is also one reason his praise for Samantha is drawing attention.
What makes Akhil’s praise more notable is his equation with Samantha even after her divorce from Naga Chaitanya. After the separation, social media was flooded with speculation, accusations, and ugly fan wars between Akkineni supporters and Samantha fans. Yet, despite all that bitterness, the two have continued to maintain a cordial equation in public.
