Amrutham, the most popular Sitcom ever aired on Telugu Television is going to be revived very soon. This time it will be telecast on OTT Space. Zee’s Digital Arm, Zee5 will premiere the new season from the 25th of this month as Ugadi Special. The Trailer was released the other day.
LB Sriram takes the place of Deceased Gundu Hanumantha Rao for the character Anji. This is the first time the Anji character has been changed in the sitcom even though Amrutham’s character was changed a couple of times. However, going by trailer, it is not just Gundu Hanumantha Rao whom we are going to miss.
LB Sriram gives a-okay feeling even though he may not be a match to Gundu Hanumantha Rao. Somehow, the trailer does not have the feel of the old Amrutham. The camera work and the entire setup has been missing the middle-class feeling which made Amrutham dearer to the common audience.
Let us see if they can prove us wrong when it premieres on the 25th.
