Telangana State is all set to get an Emergency Services Helpline ‘112’ on the lines of ‘911’ in United States of America. This helpline will come to people’s rescue in emergency. When dialed, the nearest emergency team will respond immediately.

This is a new project unveiled by the Central government. Three states – Telangana, Gujarat and Goa will get this in the first phase. 112 will attend health emergencies, crime issues and any similar problems.
Center will provide infrastructure to 112 while States will implement it. Entire country will be brought under this scheme in phases. Currently the ground work for this service is going on in coordination of the state and central officials.
