2015 blockbuster ‘Premam’ received no award despite the film’s performance and the critical acclaim it got for the performances of the actors and technicians. Other films ‘Charlie’ starring Dulquer Salmaan and ‘Endu Ninte Moideen’ won majority of the awards.
Murugadoss wrote on Twitter, “No awards for Premam. It’s not fair”. Well, there are many who agree with the director as ‘Premam’ is one movie which actually made Malayalam films one of the most sought after for remakes in other languages.
