Icon Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 is one of the most-awaited releases in Indian cinema this year. The makers have already confirmed that the film would hit the theatres on August 15, to bank on the advantage of the Independence Day weekend.
However, the weekend is getting packed with multiple releases now. Already, Bollywood biggie Singham Again confirmed its release on the same date.
Shiva Raj Kumar’s Bhairathi Rangal is releasing on the same day in Kannada. Malayalam star director Amal Neerad is coming up with his film A & A on the same date. It is heard that Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT is also aiming for an Independence Day release in Tamil.
If these films arrive during the same weekend, it will be quite tough for Pushpa 2 to get many theatres across various states because all the above-mentioned movies are biggies in their respective states.
Allu Arjun and his fans believe Pushpa 2 is the actor’s biggest bet at the Pan-India level.
So, it would be tough to say if Pushpa 2 can break the day one records amidst such heavy competition. The allocation of screen counts as the release date approaches will play a crucial role in determining its performance.
