Operation Valentine

Mega Prince Varun Tej’s next is going to be “Operation Valentine,” a patriotic entertainer with co-star Manushi Chhillar. Directed by debutant Shakti Pratap Singh, the teaser promises a gripping storyline based on real incidents.

The protagonist embarks on a daring mission to safeguard the nation, portraying the courage of Air Force heroes facing wartime challenges. Varun Tej’s impactful dialogue on Gandhi and Subhash Chandra Bose adds intensity.

One thing that might go against this film is that the audience will witness a Bollywood biggie based on a similar backdrop. Yes, we are talking about Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter directed by Pathaan fame Sidharth Anand. Deepika Padukone is playing the female lead in this one as well.

Operation Valentine and Fighter are based on a similar mission involving Air Force war. Operation Valentine was supposed to be released in December but got postponed to February 2024. Due to this delay a section of the audience might have already witnessed a similar film Fighter which is releasing on January 25.

Though the Tollywood audience is completely different from the Bollywood audience, Hrithik Roshan has a fan following in Telugu which might hurt Operation Valentine’s prospects a bit.

Varun Tej is right now going through a rough phase in his career after consecutive flops. The success of Operation Valentine is extremely crucial for him. The film has been made on a lavish budget irrespective of Varun Tej’s current market value which is commendable and also risky.

Produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and Renaissance Pictures, “Operation Valentine” releases in Telugu and Hindi on February 16th.
