The Telugu box office witnessed two new films this week in the form of Biker and Rakasa. Both the films released on April 3, and we expected to provide diverse entertainment with the Telugu audience.
But considering the opening day booking trends and also the current bookings on day 2, it appears that the Telugu audiences aren’t lining up in big numbers.
On average, Biker is selling 1.5 K tickets per hour on BookMyShow while Rakasa is selling around 2.2K tickets. Comparatively the latter is better when it comes to the current bookings trends.
While Biker is a sports drama, which was promoted as India’s first motocross racing film, Rakasa was projected as a horror comedy which is a particularly fond genre to the Telugu audience.
At the United States box office, Rakasa made 52K dollars on Friday while Biker made 31K dollars. They are both facing the wrath of Dhurandhar 2 which is going very strong even in its third week.
Generally, the Telugu audience are quick to give a positive reception to a diverse range of films. But despite promising this, the two mentioned Telugu films have been going hot and cold at the domestic and U.S. box office.
