According to industry sources, popular Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborthy is likely to essay his own role from Hindi satire ‘Oh My God’ in the Telugu remake of the film, which will feature Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan in important roles. The film, which will be jointly produced by Suresh Productions and Pawan Kalyan’s close friend Sharat Marar, is set go on floors May 19.

Mithun played a godman in the Hindi version. He locks horns against Paresh Rawal, who challenges him in court. If Mithun does play the role, which got him critical acclaim, in the remake then it would be interesting to see how audiences would receive because ideally, this role should be played by a popular Telugu actor to have a local connect. Someone like Prakash Raj can do total justice to the role.

Tadakha fame Kishore Pardasani will direct the remake, which will be wrapped up in four scheduled. The shooting will mostly take place in Hyderabad while the last schedule will take place in Varanasi.
