Before the release of Peddi, Ram Charan’s fans expected great things from this project as Charan himself was extremely confident about the same. But that did not match the end product.
The film was indeed a reasonable success at the ticket counters, but it could not match the true expectations that were set on it in the first place. It is one of the less culturally significant films from a star hero in recent times.
And now we have arrived at point where even Charan fans have started to fire on Director Buchi Babu over a non related matter.
Last night, Buchi Babu attended the promotional event of Irumudi which has Ravi Teja in the lead role. This was precisely when the young filmmaker made an interesting comment.
Buchi Babu said he entered the film industry with the intention of directing Ravi Teja for his first project and said he had even prepared a solid script for him. This was a way for Buchi Babu to connect with Ravi Teja on a public forum, and he even confirmed that he would be narrating him a script soon.
However, this has invited a pretty strong reaction from Charan’s fans as they are calling out Buchi. They are pointing out that the same Director had spoken as if Charan was the greatest thing to happen to him during Peddi promotions.
They are rolling back to the days when Buchi Babu said he had been aspiring to work with Charan from the first day of his career, and it finally happened with Peddi. Now he is making the exact same comment on Ravi Teja.
So a section of fans are starting to accuse Buchi Babu of trying to sugarcoat the heroes based on his convenience. They are calling out the opportunistic behaviour.
But at the same time, there is also a new argument that Buchi Babu is just another filmmaker who is trying to appease the bigwigs and this is just generic stuff in the industry and there’s no reason to take it seriously either.
