Coolie War 2

August 14 is promising to be one of the most crucial dates in Indian cinema as we are witnessing not one, but two big films that are likely to clash on this very day.

The two films in discussion here are obviously War 2 and Coolie. There is a lot of discussion and debate happening about these two films, which are releasing on the same day, August 14.

Coming to the topic now, there are several theories about how superstar Rajinikanth and director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie could be throwing a major curveball at War 2.

Ideally, the natural expectation is that the presence of junior NTR is sufficient to generate substantial box office prospects for War 2. This presence alone must give War 2 a decisive lead over Coolie.

But as it turns out, there is a pretty significant chance that Coolie could be opening on par with War 2. This is primarily due to the fact that Coolie is more in the range of the “action drama” expectations of the Telugu folk.

Adding to that, War 2 has too much Bollywood flavour associated with it to the degree that even the presence of NTR cannot acclimate it fully to the Telugu audience.

The Telugu social media space has also not fully owned War 2 till now as it still being seen as a Bollywood film with just a visual presence of Tarak.

Adding to that, Coolie has affair few things going its way right from Rajinikanth to Lokesh Kanagaraj to the cameo of Nagarjuna Akkineni. This might bring this Tamil film closer to Telugu audience than the Hindi War 2.

The only thing that can keep War 2 above Coolie in Telugu state is obviously going to be the point of difference – Jr NTR.
