Mithun Chakraborty

Prabhas is gearing up to start filming his next movie under Hanu Raghavapudi’s direction, reportedly titled Fauji.

After Mithun Chakraborty received the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the makers officially announced his involvement in Fauji.

However, fans are a bit skeptical about his addition to the cast of the film. All the South films starring Mithun have been flops.

Mithun made his debut with Gopala Gopala in the Telugu film industry. The film, despite being a remake of a superhit film, didn’t do well. He then starred in the bilingual Malupu, which also turned out to be a flop.

Mithun also starred in one of the biggest multistarrers of the Kannada industry, The Villain, starring Shiv Rajkumar and Kichha Sudeep. The film was an epic disaster.

Previously, Jackie Shroff was considered to be a jinx in Telugu cinema, as all his films—Astram, Shakti, Panjaa, and Saaho—flopped.

The leading lady of Fauji is Manvi, and the first schedule of filming has already been completed. Vishal Chandrasekhar is composing the music for the film.

In Fauji, Prabhas will portray the role of a soldier. The movie is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers and is scheduled to release in 2026.
