Celebrity Singer Smitha has joined the cause of doing her bit amid the COVID crisis. The celebrated pop singer with Smitha Foundations along with collaboration with others have donated oxygen cylinders, concentrations among other amenities.
With the surge in cases and India’s situation at bleak, the celebrity singer has questioned the leadership and governance failure in tackling the situation and asserted that things could have been averted had the right steps been taken.
Singer Smitha, who had once openly lent support to Narendra Modi and NaMo governance with a belief that they would bring the change, now regrets big time. Singer Smitha regrets big time for supporting Modi, who had launched a song back then ‘Wake Up India’ dedicating to Modi.
“It took me nearly two years to understand I was wrong. In fact I was living in a disbelief and pacifying myself that things will be okay, but it has turned to be wrose,” says singer Smitha. She also questions about the shortage of vaccines as to how we have sent to other countries while failing to get our own people vaccinated.
Singer Smitha also says that while COVID recoveries are shown in large numbers, the death rates and the number of cases the country is witnessing per day are given wrong figures.
Not just Smitha, but the Modi government has been under the radar and has come down with scathing criticism for its failure in dealing with the crisis.
