Naga Chaitanya’s latest venture, “Dhootha,” a supernatural suspense-thriller directed by Vikram K Kumar, has sparked a mixture of excitement and disappointment among fans.
The eight-episode series, set to stream on Prime Video, revolves around journalist Sagar (Naga Chaitanya), whose life takes a dark turn when ominous newspaper clippings foretell tragic events. The show promises an intriguing plot featuring stars like Parvathy Thiruvothu, Prachi Desai, and Priya Bhavani Shankar.
The show will start streaming on the OTT platform, Prime Video, in a few hours. The response to the promotional material of this series has been positive till now.
Naga Chaitanya fans, however, are a bit unhappy with Dhootha. Naga Chaitanya collaborated with Vikram Kumar last year for Thank You which turned out to be a disaster at the box office. Now he has collaborated with him againfor Dhootha which looks far more interesting and exciting than Thank You.
Chay fans are cribbing that Dhootha should have made it to the theaters as it looks well made with an exciting story. Thank You, on the other hand, should have been dumped on some OTT platform and saved fans from embarrassing box office figures.
They feel Dhootha’s subject was made for theatrical viewing and Thank You was OTT material. But the vice versa happened.
