Recent Malayali theatrical outing Manjummel Boys is the biggest box office hit of all time in the Mallu cinema space. The film grossed over Rs 200 crores at the box office and it is the first Mallu film to do so.
But cut to now, a cheating case has been filed against the producers of this survival thriller, Soubin Shahir, Babu Shahir, and Shane Antony by a man named Siraj Valiyatara.
The complaint from Siraj has been that the said producers took Rs 7 crore from him with the promise of giving him a 40% share in the profits the film makes. But let alone a share in the profits, the producers didn’t even return him the Rs 7 crore he invested in the first place.
A Kerala court heard the case and verified the facts before ordering to file a cheating case against the makers.
The fact that the producers are facing cheating case charges after the film made a monstrous Rs 200 crore is surprising everyone. It has to be seen what will be the verdict that shall be given against the makers of this blockbuster film once the investigation is done.
