Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently gearing up for the release of his next film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, slated for a Sankranti release on January 12, 2026. Even before its arrival in theatres, attention has already shifted to his next project.
According to reports, Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film with director Bobby Kolli, tentatively titled Mega158, is expected to be officially launched in February 2026. Regular shooting is likely to begin in March. The launch was originally planned for January 18, but it was postponed due to Chiranjeevi’s knee surgery and recovery.
There is also strong buzz that legendary composer A. R. Rahman may come on board to score the music after wrapping up work on Peddi starring Ram Charan. While logistics are still being worked out, the mere possibility has significantly raised expectations around the project.
Additionally, reports suggest that Mohanlal may play a key role. If confirmed, it would mark the first on screen collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Mohanlal, adding major curiosity value.
Mega158 will be Bobby Kolli’s second film with Chiranjeevi after Waltair Veerayya. Touted as a gangster action drama with strong emotional undertones, the project is already generating solid buzz among fans and trade circles.
