Megastar Chiranjeevi’s political drama, GodFather, in the direction of Tamil maker Mohan Raja is gearing up for an October 5 release. Co-starring Bollywood star Salman Khan, Nayanthara, Satyadev, Sunil, and others, GodFather is also eyeing a grand release in the Hindi version simultaneously.
Meanwhile, GodFather has wrapped up the censor formalities and was passed with a U/A certificate. There were reports that GodFather’s runtime was locked close to 3 hours. But then Chiranjeevi took the matters into his hands and trimmed it by 15-20 minutes.
A 3-hour runtime for a usual mass commercial entertainer (remake) would have proven a liability for the film as there would have been chances of the film turning boring. So Chiranjeevi trimming down the film is good news for GodFather.
There are also reports that there’s still two days of shooting pending which will be completed soon in Mumbai. Some key scenes involving Chiru, Salman, and Satyadev are going to be shot in this short and last schedule.
