Southern comedian Kovai Sarla will soon be seen judging a comedy show on a Tamil channel, and she believes such opportunities serve as a great platform for aspiring comedians. She says struggled for years before landing a role in a film, but with shows like this, comedians have a free ticket to the industry.

Television shows have introduced so many comedians in the recent past. Actors such as Jogi brothers in Telugu rose to stardom through television shows. Sarla, who has acted with the likes of Brahmanadam and M.S Narayana, believes that television shows also help gain popularity.
According to her, those who enter film industry through television shows, need not worry about impressing audiences because they would have already been a popular household name thanks to television shows.
