A special CBI court dealing with the cases of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy warned all the accused persons in the case not to ask for adjournments repeatedly. The court warned them that if they are going to do the same, they will have to take up the case hearing on a daily basis. Jagan Mohan Reddy did not attend the court hearing on Friday stating that he need to attend the Assembly session.
Jagan had been frequently asking adjournments of the case hearings on various grounds. Vexed with this, the judges gave Jagan and the remained accused the final warning. The court posted the discharge petitions to 16th of this month and main cases to April 10th.
It is known that there are serious allegations on YS Jagan for amassing properties during his father’s (former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s tenure (2004-2009) floating several companies to receive “quid pro quo” in the form of investments for extending favours to individuals and companies through allocation of government land and other benefits at cheap rates. All the cases surfaced one by one after the demise of YSR in a chopper crash in 2009.
