Dacoit Exists Because Of Its Love Story: Sesh

Dacoit Adivi Sesh

Adivi Sesh is gearing up for the release of Dacoit on the 10th. Mrunal Thakur plays the leading lady in the film, which marks the directorial debut of Shaneil Deo. Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, the movie will have a simultaneous release in Telugu and Hindi.

Explaining what sets Dacoit apart, Sesh says, “In most of my films, love is just one element. Here, it’s the very reason the story exists. You come for the love story and discover the action woven into it- not the other way around.”

For the first time, Sesh even danced for a role. “When I was a kid, someone told me, ‘You’re too tall, don’t dance at functions.’ That stuck with me, and I imposed that limitation on myself. But for this film, I broke that barrier. Hari says what he feels without hesitation. And because of the character’s vibe, I ended up dancing on screen.”

Those dance sequences led to two nostalgic remixes- Kannepettaro in Telugu and Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast in Hindi. “When Supriya asked about the first songs I danced to as a kid, I mentioned those two. She immediately said, ‘Let’s use Kannepettaro for Telugu and Tu Cheez for Hindi.’ And it worked beautifully.”

Although the film has fewer fight scenes, the action is intense. “This movie has more stunts than fights. I injured my knee, which pushed us back by months and even affected G2. We shot on massive mountains and filmed the climax in 45-degree heat.”

Sesh also revealed the secret behind maintaining his looks for so long. “I don’t smoke or drink, and I don’t eat non-veg. Growing up in the US, I got used to mild food, so I can’t handle very spicy masalas.”

With Sesh riding high on consecutive blockbusters, all eyes are now on whether Dacoit will become his next big hit.
