Whether intentional or not, Dasari Narayana Rao’s speech during the audio launch event of ‘S/O Satyamurthy’ have triggered a discussion on conveniently ignoring the role of Chiranjeevi’s era in Telugu Film Industry. Obviously megastar fans are breathing fire on the veteran film maker. While some are directly attacking Dasari, others seem to be implicitly pointing at Dasari.
Comedian turned producer Bandla Ganesh seems to be one among them who wants Dasari to acknowledge Chiranjeevi alongside legendary actors NTR and ANR. His series of tweets try to show his ultimate devotion to megastar. He says forgetting Chiranjeevi is like Ramayana without Lord Rama. He reminds that after NTR, ANR & Krishna, it’s Chiranjeevi who rose to stardom with his own virtue.
Bandla went to the extent of bringing in the similarities between the festivals in common calender and the Chiranjeevi’s film release dates as festivals in Cinema calender. Altogether, it was out and out ‘Chiru Bajana’. This outburst of devotion seems to counter Dasari ignoring Chiranjeevi. What say?
