Priyanka Chopra has recently stirred a controversy by calling the blockbuster RRR a Tamil film. This kind of blunder is quite special now because as we speak, she is preparing to collaborate with S.S. Rajamouli on a ₹1000 crore project – one of the biggest films ever scheduled for shooting.

The faux pas occured when on Dax Shepard’s podcast, Chopra described RRR-a Telugu film-as a Tamil film. Her analogy of the film from the current Indian film fraternity to “Our Avengers” did not go well with the audience, and trolled her like no other.
In response, Chopra said in an interview that, “People try to find a mistake in anything I do. I don’t pay any attention to it, just the love and support my family and friends give me”. Somewhat like this, it throws light on the constant hardships faced by a public figure when under constant scrutiny.

But Rajamouli, it seems, is too taken up by what Chopra made a mistake about. Being an ardent story-orientated person, Rajamouli must be weighing the balance between the superstardom with her talent beyond those rare slip-ups.
As excitement builds for their next release, tentatively titled “SSMB29”, Chopra’s journey is far from over. Rajamouli, as a master conjurer of grand narratives, is set to not only help sweep aside the debris of her recent fiasco but also put together a grand canvass of a film that could hold the lure for Indian cinema on the global stage.

In Bollywood, where the perception of the public can turn on an instant, it will take all of Chopra’s resilience and the ability to concentrate on the brighter side of things as she steps into this new chapter of her life.
Where will this collaboration lead to? Fans want to see how this plays out, and their hope is that the pair will deliver another blockbuster that will see her talent acknowledged and Rajamouli’s visionary direction accentuated.
