It’s the 69th Independence day we are going to celebrate this 15th August. But there are many unsolved issues which are considered regressive by the learned people of the country. Throwing light on one such issue ‘Female’ Economic Independence’, director Deva Katta released a 2-minute long short film on the eve of Independence day.
The concept is contemporary and need for letting women to live their life ‘free’ is said in minimum number of frames with good impact. It’s something like reminding people on what things we need to really work in this post-independence era.
Featuring pop star Smitha and actor Ravi Varma, the subtle message in the short film is well conveyed through the thought process of the female character ‘from being a home maker to aging without a goal’.
The statistics shown in the short film shocked Rajamouli, who thinks it’s heart wrenching and putting up such a short film on the eve of Independence Day is appropriate.
