‘Meeku Maatrame Cheptha’ is the title of Vijay Deverakonda’s debut movie as a producer under his banner King of the Hill. The title was catchy but, there has arisen a confusion around the title by the virtue of its similarity with another upcoming movie.
There is another movie that is timed together with Vijay’s maiden production venture and that movie’s name happens to be ‘Evvarikee Cheppodhu’. Obviously, the two titles are quite confusing.
Vijay’s film with Tharun Bhascker playing the lead is slated for 18th October release and the other movie will be coming 10 days earlier, i.e., on 8th October. Two films that have seemingly similar titles timed to release in the same month is causing confusion.
This confusion is peculiar as ‘Evvarikee Cheppodhu’ is comparatively an unknown movie when compared to Vijay’s movie. Naturally, Deverakonda movie will get its due publicity but, will this title confusion benefit the other one?
