For the beginners, an old couple Kathiresan aged 65 and Meenakshi aged 53 filed a case asking for their maintenance by claiming that they are the original parents of the Tamil young superstar Dhanush who had run away from them when in school.

However, Dhanush didn’t appear in appear personally but appealed to the court to dismiss the case on the basis of fake documents being allegedly submitted by the couple. Coming to the present update on the case, the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court directed to undergo DNA tests to know the facts.
Dhanush was reluctant on this and hence refused to take any DNA tests to establish any facts. He even filed a petition to withdraw the paternity case filed by the old couple. This petition is still pending in the court and this particular case is seen as a peculiar one.
