Director Gautam Menon has announced that Dhruva Nachatiram is his dream project. This project was initially launched with Suriya as the hero but later the actor dropped out as the film got postponed due to no development on the script.

The public announcement of quitting the movie caused a fallout between Gautam Menon and Suriya. It was immediately said that Vikram would do the movie but the movie kept getting delayed. Finally, after all the time, it has been officially confirmed. It is the first film in the combination of Gautam Menon and Vikram. The shoot will happen in the US for this crime thriller.
