Celebrities and airport moments often become talking points in India, especially as many South actors now travel frequently to Mumbai for work. Since the Pan-India market boom, stars like Allu Arjun have been making regular trips to the city for shoots and meetings.
After the success of Pushpa 2, he has become a familiar face in the North and is currently in Mumbai often for his upcoming film with Atlee, which is in its pre-production stage.
A video that is now viral on social media shows Allu Arjun at an airport security gate, appearing hesitant to remove his mask. His security team can be heard explaining to the officer that he is Allu Arjun. Trolls are using the clip to joke that the security did not recognise him or to suggest that he refused to cooperate.
From the video, it seems more likely that Allu Arjun was trying to avoid unwanted attention from photo ops inside the airport, which is why he had a black mask on. At the initial security check, the officer requested him to remove it, and his staff attempted to explain.
The actor briefly uncovered his face before continuing through the process. While some online claims say he refused to cooperate or went unrecognised, the footage does not clearly support that version of events.
Many feel that the trolling stems from the success of Pushpa 2, which has caused rivalry among fan bases. This short clip is now being used to pull him down, even though there is little in the incident to suggest any real issue at the airport.
