There are only a few heroes in the industry who are said to be directors’ actors who submit themselves totally to the vision of the filmmaker rather than using their brains. Ram Charan did the same for ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama‘. He totally surrendered to his director and went along with the director’s vision to present the hero in a larger than life role.
In one of the interviews aired on television channels for Sankranthi, Ram Charan was found explaining how he didn’t use his own brain as he thought that the movie wouldn’t be either totally his vision or the director’s vision. One can clearly see that Ram Charan didn’t question the director while shooting for several sequences that were totally illogical and over-the-top. He might have thought that he will just follow the director’s conviction.
The promotional interview seems to have been shot before the film’s release. We have seen many times that overindulgence of a star hero might not give that required freedom to the filmmaker who wants to live his vision. But, trusting blindly without even giving a second thought about the story may also turn out to be a disaster like it happened for ‘Vinaya Vidheya Rama’.
