In the past two years, actor Chiyaan Vikram starred in major releases, namely Ponniyin Selvan and Cobra. While Ponniyin Selvan found success in Tamil cinema, Cobra fell short of expectations. All attention now turns to Vikram’s upcoming role as a tribesman fighting British forces for his land in the historical adventure-action film, Thangalaan.
Amid discussions about these projects, it’s crucial to recall another film, Dhruva Natchathiram, which has been overshadowed due to its prolonged production since 2017.

Directed by Gautam Menon, the action thriller faced setbacks due to legal and financial issues, leading to repeated delays in its release date. Recent sources suggest that the film’s troubles are being resolved, and it is slated for release on either February 16 or 23.
After many delays, the film was all set to release on November 24, 2023, but again the film faced challenges, with legal and financial issues persisting throughout its production.

A shareholder in All In Pictures, Vijay Raghavendra, filed a petition in the Madras High Court, seeking an interim ban on the film’s release. The petition revolves around a contract Gautham Vasudev Menon signed, demanding the return of an advance payment.
While Gautam Menon remains optimistic about resolving issues and releasing the film in February, fans, having experienced numerous delays, express skepticism, saying, “Maaku Nammakam Ledhu Dora!” Despite Menon’s hopefulness, Chiyaan fans remain unconvinced about the film’s timely release.
