Shankar understands that in Bollywood, the promotions of a film needs to be very aggressive unlike in the South where the filmmaker likes to keep secrecy and the surprise factor under wraps. We can clearly see the difference in the strategies Shankar employs for South versions and Hindi version of his films.
Though Shankar has his own techniques, he also takes care of the call of his producers and hence also plans promotions accordingly. With this revelation from the director, we can now understand that he is going to promote Bollywood version in a different way.
