Despite the COVID cases on the rise in the city, team Shyam Singha Roy braved all the odds to continue with the shoot until the lockdown was announced recently. The team was shooting on the outskirts at a huge set which was erected in a 10-acre land which cost a bomb of Rs 6. 5 crores. The set was designed by art director Avinash Kolla and is the most expensive set in Nani‘s career.
The set which became the talk of the town has now become a reason of worry. To the dismay of Shyam Singha Roy team, heavy rains that lashed the city a week ago added woes to the team. With heavy downpour, the set has been damaged completely. In fact, the team would have wrapped up the shoot in the erected set in 10-more days but this unfortunate thing happened.
Buzz has it that the set would be reconstructed again. Of course, producer Venkat Boyanapally won’t be spending the same amount but it is estimated that at least he has to shell out Rs 2 crore to build the set again. With the producer investing for the second time again, it is a double loss for the producer.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, SSR is a historic drama starring three female leads. The first look poster has already piqued the curiosity among the public. While Nani has good films in his hand, rumour has it that he is eyeing for another sports drama. The film is said to be the remake of Bollywood film Maidaan starring Ajay Devgn.
